Integrative therapy and career counseling

Manage stress, restore emotional health and elevate your work-life wellness through psychotherapy and career discovery in a confidential and welcoming space.

Why blend mental health therapy and career counseling?

Integrative therapy for wellness is a restorative process that focuses on promoting overall well-being through a highly personalized approach. A valuable tool for personal development, psychotherapy can improve your quality of life by reducing the impacts of mental health symptoms like stress and low mood. Therapy focuses on the whole person and explores connections between your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Integrative therapy woven together with career counseling explores how the world of work impacts mental health. Most professionals spend at least 30% of their time at work. It makes sense to align your profession and work environment with your strengths, values and ideal lifestyle. Together, we examine your past and present environments to create the total wellness you imagine and deserve.

Restore your energy. Reclaim your time. Thrive personally and professionally.

How can YOU benefit from therapy with Lorraine?

Manage your stress at work and at home: Balancing the demands of work and home can often come with high levels of stress. Wellness practices help professionals manage stress, prevent burnout and maintain overall well-being.

Improve your cognitive performance: Prioritizing wellness, including adequate sleep, regular exercise, and a healthy diet, positively impacts cognitive function. Optimal mental clarity and focus allows for effective decision-making and emotional regulation.

Restore your emotional well-being: Emotional resilience is crucial for professionals who must navigate complex situations and make tough decisions. Therapy is a safe place to recognize, feel, and honor your emotional experience.

Enhance your productivity: A healthy and well-rested professional is able to keep doing the hard things. Self-care practices contribute to increased energy levels, improved concentration, and better overall work performance.

Pace Yourself: Effective leadership is a marathon, not a sprint. It takes a reserve of energy to manage all of these responsibilities well. Prioritizing your emotional health allows you to thrive, not just survive.

Individual Therapy Session = $140/session

  • Session payment is due at the time of service and will be collected from the credit card that you provide in the client portal.

  • In support of my fellow military service members and veterans, I offer a reduced rate to this community upon request and eligibility.

Can I use my health insurance benefits to pay for therapy?

It depends on your insurance plan and your decision to involve your insurance company. Therapy services in my practice are considered “self-pay”; therefore, I am out of network with all insurance companies and I do not file claims for my clients. A “self-pay” model allows for the higheset level of client-therapist confidentiality, as third-party insurance providers are not involved in your treatment and care. Additionally, should your treatment plan include career counseling, this service is not covered by health insurance because it is not considered “medically necessary”.

  • All clients can submit claims directly to their insurance and may be reimbursed for a portion of the session cost. I recommend that you call your insurance company to find out the amount that your plan will cover per therapy session and also to learn about how you can submit a claim on your own. Upon request, I will provide you with a “Superbill” for each therapy session which includes the date of service, a diagnostic code, and the type of service provided. Clients submit the “Superbill” with their claim and usually receive some reimbursement from their insurance provider in 2-4 weeks depending on your plan coverage. Insurance plans vary, so please check with your provider to find out how much will be covered.
